I guess a few families are sueing myspace (newscorp) because there daughters met up with some older perverts through myspace...
but in my opinion myspace is not to blame.
if your old enough to use myspace your old enough to be smart enough to block people you do not want to communicate with..especially older creeps.
or just set your profile to private. and e-mail setting's accordingly.
if there daughters are whores with bad juudgment...they were whores before myspace and will be whores after myspace..
but that is just my opinion.
and yes my profile is private...I post alot of personal pics of my family , house and vacations etc.....I don't need random wierdo's looking at it.
myspace is a great way to stay connected to friends and family.
don't let a few sue happy idiots ruin it for everyone
What is your opinion on the families sueing myspace ?
I agree completely. You have a choice to put your profile on private, and it's a personal preference. If people don't mind having random strangers looking at their pictures, friends, interests, and where they're from, then that's them. Plus, I think a lot of the news stories about girls being abducted and raped and killed by people they met on MySpace has a lot to do with the fact that a lot of they think that it's a popularity contest. I've been on the site since last March, and I've seen quite a few normal people that go to my school with well over five hundred friends, most of them being from scattered places around the country, and I know that they have no clue who these people are. They think that people really care about how many friends they have, or how many guys with topless default pictures they can add. My profile is private, and I thoroughly check the page of the person requesting to be my friend if I don't automatically recognize them. MySpace is fun, but can be harmful if used the wrong way. There a lot of sixty year old perverted men just waiting for a girl to believe they are twenty, single, and have a well-sculpted chest. My friend is actually conducting an experiment. She is posing as a cute sixteen year old skater boy from Wisconsin to see how many local girls she can get to talk to "Steve". She claimed to be coming to my town for Christmas, and asked seven of them if they wanted to hang out. The sad thing is that five out of the seven said that they would love to organize a meeting. It's not MySpace's fault that parents can't keep an eye on what their teenaged children do on the site. My parents regularily check mine, since I have a sad history of talking to "Suzy" from "Washington D.C" and other unbelievable people I met through Quizilla, but I realized how dumb that was and stopped. MySpace should not be faulted for a personal mistake made by some attention seeking slutty thirteen year old, and their families have no right to sue the site for their children's personal mistake.
What is your opinion on the families sueing myspace ?
myspace did not deal with the matter fast they let it happen so ++++ myspace
What is your opinion on the families sueing myspace ?
where were the parents when their kids were on Myspace ?
What is your opinion on the families sueing myspace ?
parents who let their kids play on myspace with no supervision ought to feel responsible for this, the internet is a nasty place, woudl you let your kids hang around streeet corners at night? thats what myspace is
What is your opinion on the families sueing myspace ?
I firmly believe parents are ultimately responsible for their children, including teaching them good judgement. That being said, MySpace tends to draw kids with imperfect judgement like flies. For predators, it's like fishing in a kiddy pool full of trout.
What is your opinion on the families sueing myspace ?
ya i think that its the kids , myspace is just a fun web site to interact with friends and if ur talking to people u dont know its your problem
What is your opinion on the families sueing myspace ?
they are all losers! and their kids are idots!!!!!
What is your opinion on the families sueing myspace ?
Nobody can accept responsibility for their stupid assed kids. If those girls were brought up right, not as little sluts with cell phones at age 12 and wanting to be "gangsta" or whatever, this wouldnt have happened. They should arrest and beat the parents.
What is your opinion on the families sueing myspace ?
Unfortunately, the sue happy idiots ARE going to ruin it for everyone. I do believe that parents are ultimately responsible for THEIR children.
I don't have a myspace account, and have only visited the sight once or twice.
Its sad when parents look for anyone to blame except themselves. Kids aren't like a dog or cat you can shut up in the bathroom while you dig grandma's heirlooms out of storage or leave them unattended when you go on a day trip.
I wouldn't call them whores. That's undeserving. Young people don't have good judgment. They lack the experience. That's why its up to their parents. But unfortunately either the parents didn't care or are computer stupid. If you're computer stupid, what in the world are you doing letting your kids have the run of it?
