Parents and Myspace 2?

So I talked to my parents like everyone on here advised me about. I told them I would only be friends with people I knew personally, would put my profile on private, and would let them check up on my myspace whenever they wanted, but they still won't budge! I mean, it's not like I am going to give out stuff like the state I live in, my full name, or any of those dumb things that people give out all the time. If I do all that myspace is just like sites like runescape, Yahoo, or even neopets! (Which they let me play when I was nine!) My parents have made me pack up and move 6 times already and all I want to do is stay in contact with my old friends. Myspace is the easiest way to do it! They even have a MyYearbook account where they can talkk to their old friends.... am I just being unreasonable?

why don't have your parents set up a myspace of their own and have them as your friend, that why they can see everything your friends see and be reassured. I know it can cramp a bit on what you say but it could work

u dont need ur parents permission to make a myspace. jus make one when there not home and check it when there not home and delete the history

Ask to "spend time" at your local library... They have computers... create a myspace there...

Or wait till school starts again and make a myspace while at school... or go over to a friends house... Make sure you don't use your real name so they can't find you...

Have your parents make a myspace as well and have them be your friend. Give them your password so they can check what your doing.That's what my sister does... Because my parents (like yours) want the best for her and to protect her... but are being unreasonable...

Or just make one when they aren't home and only check it when they go out... make sure you delete the web history on your comp when your done though!

Myspace doesn't hurt people... Choices made by individuals get them in trouble...

The people who end up raped, murdered, hurt "because of myspace" were just down right stupid... Common sense would have saved them...

Well, I understand why you want one. It seems reasonable to me. But it's your parents job to look out for you. In the meantime, just do email. You never know. Your parents might change their minds one day. But if they don't, it's not the end of the world. I'm not saying that to be mean. Just trying to ease your mind a bit.

You're right about keeping their trust. If you make a MySpace page behind their backs and they find out, not only could you lose your MySpace page, but you could lose other privileges as well.
