i started a myspace...my second one for my business...NOT SPAM, only for my friends to see my business and whats new and things like that...so i didnt take up my regular page with the info....i only started it like 3 days ago...just got all the info on the page and only had myself added and kept toms dorky butt...thats it. now my page is deleted and i havent heard anything back from myspace cust service. i dont know why it would be deleted, especially since i didnt send out any spam or break any rules of myspace. i logged off that page once i was done gettin my stuff on there how i wanted it and came back to my regular page and seen my friend count went down one....it was my business page that was gone, within 5 flippin minutes. a friend of mine said her page got deleted and came back the next day, i didnt even notice her page was gone it was back up so quickly, but mine hasnt came back. just wondering if anyone else had this problem. the message im gettin is invalid friend ID/deleted

have you ever heard of the broadway musical wicked? well, i want some of that music on my myspace, but i dont know if wicked has a myspace. does anyone know? any help would be much appreciated. thank you.

There are a few sites on there with music from Wicked. Your best bet is to use the search option under the MUSIC link (top of the page). Then search for WICKED where it says band name. When the list comes up sort by PLAYS. Then look through the results until you see something that look like the musical.

I am listening/watching a video online and doing myspace. Everytime I come to a profile with music - the music blairs, well before the whole page has loaded and I can press pause. I have to find my speaker in order to punch the off button, pause my video and wait for the page to fully load to pause the song. Then I have to rewind my video. Extraordinarily annoying! Why don't more people make it to where their favorite song doesn't take over the whole computer room when you browse their myspace page????

I get a message that says "failed to load" on the player.

One of my computers it won't load on. The other it will. Songs load fine on my friends computer. Security settings and firewalls are the same on both my computers. Flash versions are the same and have the same settings. I updated through Adobe for the newer Adobe Flash version, but that didn't fix the problem. "Help" through the Adobe site and myspace.com do not have anything to address my problem. Everything worked just fine the other day. I haven't installed any new programs, or changed any computer settings. It's nothing to do with myspace code, because my song still plays on everyone else's computers, and nobody's songs will play on mine. What's my problem? PLEASE HELP!!!

That is awful! I am so sorry to hear that.

Based on your circumstances, I would suggest that you keep messaging Tom. Don't EVER give up! Usually Tom is very good about helping people. Maybe he is just very busy right now.

I think phishing has gotten so out of hand that Tom is just flooded with messages like this, and there are certain precautions he must take to ensure people aren't trying to scam him for other people's passwords. He doesn't know who to trust.

Just tell him exactly what you told us. And I hope everything works out for the best.

So I was on myspace and randomly it said a little message from tom that said 'YOUR ACCOUNT IS BLOCKED BECAUSE ITS BEEN PHISHED' or something like that, and it said 'click here to change password' so I clicked there, and it said I had to type in a code verification, and theres no code verification. What should I do? Come on I'm a teenager, I need myspace ha.

The SAME EXACT thing is happened to me. Just change your pass word. They will send you an email with the verification code on it.. change your password each time you visit a page that ask for you password to insert a graphic, video, or photo slide.. that is how phishers on other sites get your password.

Mine did this for a while. Wait a day, then change your password again, but look at your layout and all your "about me" sections, and make sure there are no codes in there that you didnt put there yourself.

I made a MySpace site years ago, with a certain email address, I deleted that email address a few years after that... now I want to delete my MySpace, and I can't because I deleted that email address, why does it even work having a MySpace after that... how can I delete it? A couple of months ago I came across a girl that I went to high school with on myspace. I haven't hung out with her or even seen her since we went to high school, but from what she posts in bulletins she seems to be single. I think she is beautiful but I really don't know anything about her. I am not close to anyone who would know anything more about her, but I am interested in taking her out. We have exchanged a couple of messages here and there (I gave her some advice on how to cure a tension headache) but nothing serious. My question is, how would you pursue going after someone that you only talked to a couple of times on myspace and haven't seen since high school (which is about 5 and a half years)? Any suggestions?

it will show all the messages that you have sent in a certain time period and then when you find the message that you would like to view that status look over in the column and next to the def. picture of the receiver it will either say:

Why not just copy any premade layout then go in and take out the background pic and put any stone temple pilot pic their thats easier than trying to find a premade STP layout if you find it. Well, you need some more color variation. Your background is too monochomatic (one color) and your font is white, which is not really complimentary to it. Choose a different layout. That would help. Your pic looks good, but you should maybe find a survey or quiz to put on there to add some cool stuff. Also maybe a flash game.

I recently got into using html codes on my space and I have recently ran into a problem. I posted HTML code onto my "networking" personal information tab. Now, everytime I attempt to edit out this html code I posted, the page will not fully load and I can't edit it out. My page is www.myspace.com/thumbfunk and you'll notice the problem at the bottom of the page where networking is located. Since this problem; my comments, about me, who i'd like to meet, and friends sections no longer present themselves on my page...I tried contacting myspace...of course no response. Hey, I also had this problem at one point. The reason could be because of the background that you chose. Often the pre-made layouts contain script/html code that take out those sections. Try to use a different background and see if that helps. And those guys from myspace never write u back. They are pretty useless... Good luck.

My friend is a pretty girl, and when she takes pics, she looks even prettier. I love her to death and we are great friends. However, she is a myspace celebrity so it seems, she has over 1,000 friends and gets a lot of "fakers" (ppl who take her pics and pretend 2 b her) She makes a huge deal out of the fakers, posting them on her site, telling ppl 2 message them calling them out, etc. I think its ridiculous, Ive had about 2 fake profiles made and I find it flattering, but just have myspace delete them and 4get about it. She has a whole clan of ppl finding these fakers, messaging them telling them they r losers, etc. It's mean b/c clearly these ppl admire her very much. Also, this inflates her ego into thinking she is all that, and while shes my friend and I love her, I just dont think myspace defines a person. you'll just have to ignore it. If she shows off about it, tell her it bothers you. Ask her why she's treating these fakers like they could never measure up to anything like her. You know she's a show off when she gets mad at you if you calmly admit that you're feelings. If she can't control herself, tell her to take a break from myspace. Do something with her - like go to a movie or hang out with other friends to distract her from it, maybe.Let her know, but if she refuses to play along, you'll just have to bear with it. Yeah that's waaaaay beyond Myspace's capabilities. If I were you, I'd put all of my music into mulitiple .zip files (around 40-80 MB each), you can put them all into one but downloading a 2 GB file will take about a decade to finish no matter how fast of a connection you have, and upload them all onto a hosting website. I'll give you a list of some good ones.

Div myspace layout trouble?

Okay so basically, you probably forgot to change the links in the image map before you pressed "Submit" on Myspace. As a precaution, they demorph the links into a redirect that way they can filter out the spam links. What you're going to have to do is find which imagemap (%26lt;AREA%26gt;) tag corresponds to "Comments" and "More Pictures," and change the "href" value to the correct link.

The comments page link looks like (without spaces):

http://comment.myspace.com/ index.cfm?fuseaction=user. viewComments%26amp;friendID=00000

And the message link looks like (without spaces):

http://messaging.myspace.com/ index.cfm?fuseaction =mail.message%26amp;friendID=00000

All you gotta do is replace "00000" with your friendID, and of course, remove the spaces.

i have a lot of friends who said that they wouldn't get one and then did. especially male friends. alot of guys find out that it's easier to keep intouch with old friends that you don't see or talk to on a regular basis. no biggie if you get one. and even though you dont have a digi camera, chances are atleast one of your friends does and has atleast one pic of you that you can put on there.

Custom myspace profile - youtube vids and other vids?

hi, i was wondering how to put youtube vids on my custom myspace profile.

this profile is a div type profile and so i dont know how to add videos to be viewable.

I HAVE pasted the embed thing from youtube into my profile in the space i wanted however it wont show up.

i think it has something to do with my custom profile and how it covers up the regular myspace format. i have successfully put vids onto my page before it was custom.

It would be good to give us a link to your page. However, the code you're using on your "custom" profile is most likely causing the videos to be hidden and not show up.

Okay, I made my profile (background, cursor etc) on myspace a few months ago. I have a fairy background and put a fairy cursor.

No one else knows my password etc so no one could have changed it.

The weird thing is now, my cursor isnt a fairy anymore its a stupid flashing chiwowa dog thing and its annoying and ugly! I went into where you put the codes in and couldnt find the code for the cursor so put a new code in for a new cursor, and guess what....its still a dog!!!

Why wont it change? Any tips?

I have a myspace band profile and when i record my music comes out with a 320 kb/s bitrate

I have to lower it to 224 kb/s to be under 6mb to fit on myspace

Why does it sound like 64 kb/s quality

Hey. I know exactly what you mean. It has something to do with the native bitrates. I don't know the exact settings myself, which is why my quality is also degraded, but when you convert your song into an mp3 file, you have to use a certain native bit rate to make it sound good on the myspace player (higher is not necessarily better). Im playing around with it, I'll let you know if I find out.

Maybe You should show them what a myspace page looks like and that you can set it to private and tell them that they can check up on you on myspace if they aren't comfortable with it. many parents don't feel that their kids are safe with a myspace because the only thing they know about it is all the stories they hear about young girls getting raped after meeting some dude from myspace. explain to them that myspace is a place to talk to friends etc. show them your myspace page so that they can see for themselves that it's fine. worked for me!
