when you have it, do you have to be signed into myspace to use it. like i don't want someone to message me when my parents are on the computer and not on myspace.

you have to have a myspace account to use myspace IM- if you log into myspace IM you are logged into Myspace, but, if you are only logged into myspace you are not logged into IM. and you can set the preferences so the messages dont pop up.
